British Sign Language (BSL) converter

Convert English text or speech into the two-handed BSL fingerspelling alphabet.

BSL uses the two-handed BANZSL manual alphabet. Fingerspelling is mainly used for names, places and words without an established sign. Letter photos are signed by Gemma; letters with movement show the first step.

Up to 300 characters. Letters are spelled one by one; numbers and spaces are shown, other symbols are skipped. Typed text stays on this page. Optional speech input may be processed by your browser’s speech service.

5/300

Fingerspelling shows individual letters, not signed words or sentence translation.
