Automated Governance Systems Ltd is the United Kingdom company behind the ALFI + EDIE Framework. We build hyper-personalised AI assistants for education, business and public services, with governance, accessibility and safeguarding designed in from the first line rather than added after launch.

What AGS does

The framework is built around two assistants that work as a pair. ALFI is the strategist: structure, reasoning and decision support. EDIE is the empath: tone, wellbeing and companionship. HELIX combines the two for governance work, SAMU supports GCSE study, and TRAC handles revision planning and recall.

    ALFI reasons and plans while EDIE reads tone and context, so the same codified knowledge lands differently for a Year 10 student, a support worker and a board director — hyper-personalised without rewriting the source.

    Safeguarding checks, consent-driven memory, decision logs and audit trails run on every turn, mapped to UK GDPR and the UK's cross-sector AI principles — so responsible AI is evidenced, not asserted.

Andy Wake founded Automated Governance Systems and leads the ALFI + EDIE Framework as Managing Director. He is a Chartered IT Professional and a Fellow of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, and holds a BSc (Hons) in Information Technology.
