Create a new app with the ALFI + EDIE Framework
A ten-step instructional workflow that pairs ALFI's strategic foresight with EDIE's empathy so every new app ships equitable, accessible and governed by default. Follow it in order — each step produces an artifact the next step relies on.
Pre-flight checklist
Confirm these foundations exist before you start the workflow.

The ten steps
Capture what the app does, who it serves, and the equity / accessibility outcomes it must deliver before writing a line of code.
Do
- Write a single-sentence purpose statement (who, for whom, to do what).
- List 2–3 primary audiences and their access needs (assistive tech, language, age band).
- Define success metrics that include wellbeing as well as performance.

Definition of done
An app is ready for the Library only when every line below is true.
- Both ALFI and EDIE surfaces exist and respect the dual-core balance.
- All public tables have RLS + GRANTs; sensitive logic lives in server functions.
- Consent switches, audit events and personalisation memory entries are wired.
- A11y baseline is green; keyboard, ARIA and focus trapping are verified.
- App appears in /library with category, genres, agents and tags.
- Help page has a quickstart and at least three FAQs for the new app.
