1. 1. Welcome to the frameworkWelcome to the ALFI EDIE Framework. I am HELIX, your help assistant. Everything here runs on two cores: ALFI handles structure, planning and decisions, and EDIE handles tone, wellbeing and human context. A governance layer checks every answer and keeps a record of it. In the next few minutes I will show you the portal, the portlets, and the menus you use to find your way around.
2. 2. What the portal isScroll down the home page and you reach the portal. Think of it as your own home screen for the framework. It is not a fixed page: it is a board of cards you can search, filter by category, pin and reorder. Whatever you set up is saved to your layout, so the portal looks the same next time you sign in.
3. 3. What a portlet isEach card on the board is a portlet: one part of the framework in a small, self-contained panel. Some portlets open an app, such as a SAMU study app or the Boardroom. Some are tools, like the Scenario Builder or Sign Languages. Others show live information, such as your token balance or your learning progress. A portlet behaves the same way wherever it appears.
4. 4. Arranging your portalTo change the board, choose Customise portal. Each card gains arrange controls so you can move it up or down, pin it to the top shelf, or remove it. Everything is keyboard accessible and every change is announced, so you never need a mouse or a drag gesture. If a layout stops suiting you, clear the search and filters and start again — nothing is lost.
5. 5. The top menu barThe bar across the top is how you move between areas. Explore covers the framework, the assistants and the app library. Education covers SAMU, TRAC and the parent portal. Business covers the Boardroom, codifying your business and workflow building. Academy covers courses and your learning. Demos and Pricing go straight to their pages. On the right you will find search, the help icon for me, and your account or sign-in buttons. On a narrow screen the extra items move into the menu button, and nothing is lost.
6. 6. The footer menuThe footer is the reference section. Company and transparency links cover AGS, leadership, press and free governance templates. Terms and trust holds our terms of use and ethical AI policy. Data and privacy holds the privacy, cookie and security policies. Accessibility and quality holds the accessibility policy and report. Payments holds refunds and PCI compliance. If you cannot find something, use the site map or the policy index at the bottom.
7. 7. Where to startThat is the tour. A good first step is to chat free with ALFI and EDIE, then come back and pin the portlets you expect to use. If you get stuck anywhere, open the help icon in the top bar and ask me. Every tour has a transcript, and captions stay on screen, so you never need sound to follow along.
