No. The material is written in plain English for educators, students, families, business professionals and public servants. There is no maths, no coding and no jargon; regulatory terms are defined the first time they appear.

Yes. Lessons include worked UK examples, activities and knowledge-check questions, and you can rehearse realistic decisions in Scenario Builder. An AI tutor sits inside each lesson so you can ask questions about the material as you go.

Which AI tools and platforms are covered?

The training is tool-agnostic. It teaches habits that transfer between general-purpose assistants, in-product AI features and organisational systems, using ALFI, EDIE, SAMU and TRAC inside this platform as live worked examples.

Is the content kept current as AI and regulation change?

Yes. Content is mapped to UK GDPR, the UK's cross-sector AI principles, the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689) and ISO/IEC 42001, and is revised when that guidance moves. Each module records its version and independent review date.

Through knowledge checks at the end of each lesson or stage, with quiz history saved to your learning record. You can retake checks, and your progress is stored as you go so you can stop and resume on any device.

The Responsible AI Use programme is free and needs no payment details. Academy courses are individually priced in pounds sterling, some are free, and free pathways are available for people not in education, employment or training. Prices and what is included are shown on each course page.

How long does it take, and can I learn at my own pace?

It is self-paced and online. Each Academy course shows its lesson count, indicative duration and CPD hours before you start, and the free programme is a few hours in short stages you can spread over days or weeks.

Is the training accessible and suitable for SEND or EAL learners?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pages target WCAG 2.2 AA, videos have captions and transcripts, replies can be read aloud, and the SEND adaptation engine can re-present any Academy lesson for needs such as dyslexia, ASD, ADHD and EAL with teaching adjustments and understanding checks.

Yes. Seats are invited by email from your account page, and cohorts let you track completion across a team. For tailored delivery, tell us your audience and objectives through the enrolment form or by contacting AGS and we will confirm what is possible before anything is agreed.

Does it cover AI governance, ethics, risk and compliance?

Accepted Answer

Yes — that is the core of it. You cover lawful basis and data minimisation under UK GDPR, transparency and AI disclosure, human oversight, bias and fairness, incident handling, and the records a reviewer or regulator would expect to see.

Will this make our AI use compliant?

Accepted Answer

It gives your people the judgement and vocabulary to use AI safely and to ask the right questions, and it is educational material rather than legal advice. Compliance decisions stay with your organisation and its advisers; we never certify an organisation as compliant.
